I hadn't either but as soon as I did I just really felt like giving it a go! So special to see them start writing their own things 💛

So good!!!!!! I read it out loud and really enjoyed the rhythm, as well as those quintessential mothering moments that I also recognize so well 💛.

Aaahhhh thank you so much Margaret! You really do inspire me with your poetry and the advice you posted with yours was so helpful - about picking something that repeats in your life!

That was all @Nelly Bryce with the excellent advice! That’s what led me to do oral surgery, too—sadly, it was just one of many I’ve had.

I should've tagged her too! Not fun that you've had so many but look at the beauty that's come out of it in poetry! 😅

Sorry, I didn’t mean you’d been remiss in tagging! I just want Nelly to have all the credit since I basically had to be dragged kicking and screaming into writing it 😁.

No no all good! I love tagging others and giving credit where credit is due!

KYM! You wrote a villanelle!!! That’s so freakin cool! It’s great 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

It was so so fun to do! You should see my Google doc - full of phrases and words that rhyme with need and feast. Like Margaret said, you have to backwards engineer it! But so satisfying 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Very keen to try this after seeing yours and Margaret’s 😍

You totally should! It's addictive, you won't be able to stop once you start and you won't get anything else done 😂

Hahahaha sounds like just the thing for a 5 hour drive home tomorrow from visiting family 😆

Yes perfect! You can ask your boys for rhyming ideas 😂 that's a long drive! I hope the baby does well! 😅

I could rhyme it with “waaah” and “how much longer?”

Oh man! A Google doc would have made much more sense—I just kept toggling between the poem and Google for rhyming words, and kept losing my focus that way.

I write a lot of my stuff in Google docs so I can access on my phone or computer 👌🏻 but yes it made it easy to keep track of where I was at!
